GIZ support program for ZLECAF : The national component in Tunisia

GIZ, through the project entitled: "Support for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Supports the African Union Commission in its efforts to coordinate the free trade negotiations underway and the transition towards the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) since 2017.

Until now, the institutional and legal framework conditions necessary for the implementation of AfCFTA are still weak at the continental level as well as at the level of the Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and especially of the signatory states. To successfully implement the AfCFTA Free Trade Agreement in the long term, consistent and adequate measures need to be taken, especially at the national level, to ensure the effectiveness of trade rules.
